AC Hotel Miami Aventura Chooses adorne® and radiant® for a Hip Hotel Design

On a busy beach with plenty of competition, one hotel aims to stand out with the details.

THE CHALLENGE

With the world-class Aventura Mall, Hard Rock Stadium, South Beach and the Wynwood art scene right around the corner, AC Hotel Miami Aventura was looking for something special. Part of the Marriott brand, AC Hotels pride themselves on unique, luxurious details like decadent breakfast menus and upper deck pools and bars. In a bustling area, it needed something special to set it apart from every other property and the rest of the Marriott portfolio.

​​​​​​​AC Hotel Miami Aventura was seeking something distinct for their guest rooms. The overall aesthetic of the hotel is sleek, modern, cool and hip—just like Miami. With the rise of the AC brand, Marriott was taking a closer look at design elements. In order to really stand out from the competition, they needed to take advantage of what’s possible with the details. As they state, “By focusing on the little things, we’ve created something big. Something new.”

THE SOLUTION

Legrand suggested the adorne Collection for the guest rooms and throughout the property. To really escalate the element of design, black ink wall plates were selected and paired with magnesium switches and outlets. This beautiful, unique matte color of the wall plates worked well with the other pieces in the rooms. And the stunning dark finish made a serious impact, setting a scene that’s both modern and elegant.

Many guests love to have power and charging options right by the bed. With a combination of USB outlets, traditional power outlets, and Paddle™ Switches in magnesium, the hotel was able to create a gorgeous charging station right in the headboard using a black ink 4-gang wall plate.

Bathrooms are a perfect place to add magnesium GFCI outlets from the adorne Collection. Paired with a black ink 1-gang wall plate, the result is striking and unique.

To set itself apart not only with its design, AC Hotel Miami Aventura opted for engraved adorne night lights and Paddle Switches to help their guests find their way—and the switch they’re looking for.

​​​​​​​For non-guest facing areas, AC Hotel Miami Aventura opted for adorne’s sister collection, the radiant Collection by Legrand. The radiant Collection offers a similarly sleek, clean look without unsightly screws, but it’s budget-friendly. This brought an elevated touch to the entire property.

THE RESULT

AC Hotel Miami Aventura boasts a 4.3 rating out of 5 on Google with nearly 500 reviews as of May 2019, and it’s also well-received by reviewers on travel sites like Trip Advisor and Expedia. Guests rave about the breathtaking lobby, incredible atmosphere and top-notch service.

Other AC Hotels have since reached out to Legrand for both adorne and radiant devices throughout select properties located all over the world.
